Video Editing for Creators
Offload your video editing and get back your time and your sanity.
As you’ve likely experienced, editing a video is far more than cutting out gaps and adding some text. It’s about telling an interesting story, providing value, captivating your audience, and keeping people wanting more. The problem, is all the time it eats up which could be spent on shooting more videos, pursuing other endeavors, (or just getting a break every now and then!)
While I’ve had the opportunity to create videos for companies as large as Amazon, the bulk of my work has been crafting videos for smaller teams—in addition to my own. Whether a simple tutorial, a sketch, or a product promo—the goal is to make every second of the video impacting. With Hey Great Video, you’re getting a creator and an editor in one.

About Thomas
My primary profession has been as a designer (print and web) which I’ve been doing for over 15 years. A little over 10 years ago I added video to that repertoire which I always viewed as just another medium for creative outlet.
However, over time I discovered the unique power of video. Whether to tell a story, teach, inspire, or entertain—video always felt like the most effective medium on which to communicate anything. As a result I began the process of acquiring camera gear (way too much camera gear) along with proficiency in editing.
After taking on clients, I eventually started a YouTube channel which only furthered my interest and skill refining in the medium and practice of editing. That said, a big chunk of my editing experience has come through experimenting with and becoming more and more familiar with video as it’s presented on today’s social media platforms—YouTube in particular.
Aside from making videos and building websites—I practice archery (which I have created some videos about too!) and enjoy regularly exploring out in the great state of Idaho.
FAQ
-
Can I get access to the native files?
Yes! Any and all files (I work primarily in Adobe Premier) can be provided for download upon request at no extra charge.
-
What software do you use?
While I do have experience in Final Cut Pro, I primarily use Adobe Premier Pro both for its wide range of features and its wide use among many pro video editors.
-
What’s the limit for the number of videos I can have created?
There is no limit to the total number of videos you can have created. However, there is a limit to one video at a time to help ensure the necessary focus for each video to ensure they’re done well. Once one video has been completed, another can be added to the project queue at any time.
-
Are there any additional charges?
In some cases, using specific music and/or footage may require separate licensing and therefore, an extra cost associated with acquiring it. However, there are no extra charges for anything process-related (additional revisions, edits, formats, versions, etc).
-
How long do edits take?
The average turnaround for an edit is two business days. Some edits go faster and some go longer—this depends largely on the complexity and length of the edit. I’ll provide you an estimate prior to starting on a new video.
